Travertine

is a white or light-colored calcareous rock deposited from mineral springs, used in building. Like marble, travertine is a banded rock that is frequently rich in color. Travertine has largely been quarried in Italy throughout history, but occurrences can also be found in the United States in Texas, Oklahoma, and most notably at Yellowstone Park's Mammoth Hot Springs.
